Since 2007, the organisation has become a trusted partner of procurement departments of several multinationals and are the only universal sustainability ratings provider. EcoVadis has a unique CSR assessment methodology and helps companies become more sustainable through the adaption of more sustainable practices. Their methodology is based on Sustainable Development Standards, such as the Global Reporting Initiative, United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000.

Each year, organsations can apply for evaluation and will be rewarded a rating based on four drivers: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. EcoVadis only provides medals (bronze, silver, gold or platinum) to the top 35% best scoring companies.

An overview of our results

EcoVadis particularly recognises our structured and proactive CSR approach, which includes policies and concrete actions on major issues. Our detailed information about the implementation of these policies, along with our considerable effort in CSR reporting on our actions and KPIs, also contributes to our Platinum CSR rating.

We have maintained our Platinum score primarily through our dedication to implementing further measures, policies, and publications surrounding our CSR activities and through additional extensive reporting. Moreover, we have demonstrated advanced management systems concerning environmental matters, such as our efforts to reduce our environmental footprint and address labour & human rights issues.

Royal LC Packaging received 84/100 points for our 2024 EcoVadis evaluation.
